Dr Yavini Reddy

Dr Reddy is an alumna of the University of Cape Town with First Class Honours.  She then joined the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) where she specialized in Paediatrics and was awarded by the College of Medicine of South Africa for distinguished results.

Her passion for the field of neurology and childhood development disorders has led to the awarding of the Life Healthcare Scholarship for completion of her sub-specialty qualification of Paediatric Neurology.

She has a keen interest in research and completed her master’s in medicine in Paediatrics and Child Heath (MMED).  She is the recipient of multiple awards for her research studies in these areas.  Dr Reddy is also a member of the Paediatric Neurology and Development Association of South Africa as well as the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS).  She has attended and presented at numerous conferences both local and international with the key focus on Paediatric Neurology. 

Dr Reddy has now dedicated herself to full time private practice as a Paediatric Neurologist based at the Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre. The practice aims to improve awareness in the field of Paediatric Neurology with a core focus on epilepsy, cerebral palsy, neurodegenerative and neurogenetic conditions and developmental disorders including ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.
